Re: [Mind's Eye] Group Management

I am sorry to hear about your brother's death. I hope your time with your family has also given you something.

I see you have been hearing what our recent exchanges here were about. Thank you for being willing to not let the group die.

I find both Orn's and Chris's style of handling the group management issue so disrespectful, that I can imagine how it is collaborating with them. You have got my vote, Molly. I'd probably dream of pink bubbles in faraway land too, had I been surrounded by so much godgiven chimp no1 supremacy for too long. James would be my number two. And my number three is willing to press the unban button for Allan - maybe achytas will find the time.

Group, please take a moment to reflect what Orn's reply "Molly, I'll work it out with Chris" means in the context of why we are exchanging our views, ideas, and experiences here. Support Molly.

Having not yet heard from Orn on the matter of continued group
moderation and Allan's ban, I will ask the group now for a clear and
coherent direction.  How do you want the group to be moderated?  If
Orn has bowed out, and you can agree on a mode and moderators, I will
find a way to make it possible technically.

My suggestion is a group of three moderators.  Depending on the mix, I
may or may not stay on as one.  My brother Michael passed away in
July, and my family has taken most of my free time.  If the mix of
moderators shows promise of harmony, I may be able to remain.  From
past experience, I can say that animosity among moderators (and
members) requires more time and attention.

It sounds like there are many members of the group who would like to
see it continue.  What are your suggestions for moderating?
