[Mind's Eye] Re: Hello and questions worth pondering

Hi thanks for responding. I agree with the idea that to be certain of
any religious certainty is impossible at least in our current place
and time in the cosmos. However there are certain ideas or even
fellings within self that have some basis for knowing. Though this too
could simply be a figment of a powerful mind too. That is why I wanted
to investigate what we as a people have discovered as fact through the
sciences of today. These can help to place ones feet upon more of a
responsible approach in a journey through lifes biggest questions.

God notions are much too vague or immense of subject matter for me and
I simply want to understand the smaller steps in the journey.
Personally, I don't really like "religion" as a practice or way of
life. I think it sells the human potential very short, not to mention
makes us a part of some rather dark and barbarious history. Control
and rules for conduct are important to a civilized world, but applying
that to belief and potential in the ways of self or spirit is counter
intuative. IMHO
