[Mind's Eye] Joy

I get the odd buzz and a few times have been overwhelmed by good
feelings. Victory in sport, the odd sensual stuff and sometimes
gratitude. These days seeing some of the intuitions I had on
scientific process 'come true', the pup growing up and his enthusiasm
for all walk-related activity (except when he's going to drag me round
the block)! Art and dance rarely move me - but Beethoven's 9th can.
The last literature was the Danish series 'The Killing' - perhaps as
much for Sue's love of it as the programme. Some piano - concertos.
The Warrington rugby league crusade which fell short by an inch.
Religion just disgusts me most of the time, but not that of RP or the
odd thing from Orn. Kids enjoying themselves - though not all the
time. Mostly Sue.

Sartre once said emotions just exist and are unexplained and I go for
a version of that, even if I know explanation of neuro-process. I
seem to be seeing people enjoying themselves less. My ultimate relief
is in farce and the absurd. I'd love to see England put one over the
Kangaroos this afternoon - and will be singing Tina Turner's 'Simply
the Best'in such unlikely event. this will not be a happy experience
for others about! What is joy, other than riding a beetle to the moon?
