[Mind's Eye] Re: philosophical teaser

My family haven't been Jewish for ual understandinga few generations
Allan - but the Devil in 'our' stories is more like a doubting Thomas
kind of asking things be thought through by raising unfortunate
possible outcomes. I must say on war that watching male troops of
chimps going off to their equivalents is all-too-familiar.

It has struck me that this kind of philosophy pushes me towards more
sociological explanation that includes what we know of ourselves now
through a range of science, self-observation and anthropology in
attempts at mutual understanding and an upgrading of the lay view that
doesn't condescend to that or patronise it.
