[Mind's Eye] Re: Greed

Economics is just theory. Inequality is easier to understand when we
examine greed- of the individual, the group/society or the nation(s).
Trade wars are a form of greed. So are tariffs, sanctions, cutting off
vital supplies. Empires are greedy- usually for raw materials and
trade benefits. Societies push appetites that are based on debt and
credit and most do not reward savings or frugality. Now we will punish
China for giving us what we wanted- cheap prices based on cheap labor
and the degradation of its enviornment. Jolly stuff. Next- will
probably be Brazil. Sorry, Allan, the "game" started when one guy in
the clan was the best shot, the best hunter- he wound up chief- got
the prettiest wives, the best cave and so on. It's about power and
rivalry.
