Re: Mind's Eye New Google Groups is Dumb, but this not the subject

I had a good chat once with a fellow that was convinced that the soul
was the interface between body and spirit. I found this an
interesting concept and think there are probably some correlatives in
eastern religion. Like the Buddhist notion that once we transcend
karma, we are in direct relationship with spirit, a non-dual state of
consciousness if you will, where the cause and effect issues to
overcome fall away. In such a model, the soul is the eternal
repository for karmic experience, the limitless cause and effect
aspects of being. However, like ego, can be transcended, and our own
personal hell overcome.

The body, I think is integral to being, and anchors us to this life.
It responds to all unseen aspects of being, giving us signposts on the
path in the form of symptoms - the body's voice. If we have the
wisdom to interpret this language, and we understand what our body is
telling us, whether through brain, lungs, heart or any other organ or
system, we are better integrated into the dynamic between experience
and being.

Soul calls us in the same way, until we reach such a point that cause
and effect is known differently, from a non dual view. Then the soul
calling, like the body's voice, becomes a language of spirit that
allows a kind of contentment, perfection, or heaven on earth (if you
will.) At this point there is no separation between being and
experience. Harmony of the many in one. The paradox here, is that
we, at the same time, experience the separation, the pain and sorrow
and individuality, usually more intensely as the filters of separation
are gone. All inclusive being.
