speaking of spooks.. just wanted to see what was happening with the airplane accident at SFO.. it is amazing the true garbage people put on the internet just to get their name recorded seeing what they want to see even if it is not true.. it would take super computers with a complete staff of programers just to get rid of the garbage junk,,
other than staying (writing) in contact with friends what value is it?

I think the CIA and the NSA have dumbed down but then again the NSA was never very smart to start off with just a bunch of power freaks..--On Sun, Jul 7, 2013 at 1:20 AM, archytas <nwterry@gmail.com> wrote:The basics were in place in the byzantine empire Allan. I think we come later, but memory is unreliable! One of my best friends was a LOSB. We don't talk about it, other than concerning today's major government deception. It's a bit like reviewing 'Our Man in Havana'. We met when I worked for an outfit called Joint Liaison. Our only hope since is that the other side is even worse than ours. One day some Goon spotted us drinking coffee and before I could come up with some vital reason to be elsewhere, handed us a file of secret intercepts and told us to arrest the guy leaking them to the Soviets. We tooled up and sped off to do the deal. We did the front door back door thing, but chummy came quietly. With him in the back of the car, we had a smoke with our driver, a crossword addict. He'd read the intercept file and said he'd seen most of it before in the Daily Telegraph. He was right. Of course, anyone carrying this right-wing organ is suspect! I later found an account with about £70K by today's standards, but couldn't find anyone at the Soviet Embassy to pay me for intercepts from the Times.

I had some passing experience with a few, usually in military context. The standard joke went a bit like this:--1. Who are the KOSBs? = The Kings Own Scottish Borderers.2. Who are the QOSBs? = The Queens Own Scottish Borderers. The British Army had many OSBS.3. So what do we call Intelligence? = LOSBs.4. And what does that stand for? = Loads of Stupid Bastards.I was on many futile and utterly barking undercover ops that were nothing like James Bond. There are some comedies by Charlie Owen that get nearer the mark. What are our guesses on what SIS is and who it serves?
