A thief is still a thief it does mot matter who it is from.. but what that show is the low level morality involved..
the justification is an excellent demonstration the the parties involved know it is wrong..
and they are not volunteer policemen but hackers and thieves.. Justifying an act is also makes one an accomplice to the act.. and will show up on your souls life exam.. .

It depends what the hackers do with what they steal from the criminal. If they return the stolen goods to the victims, then they are like robin hoods. I would rate them high morally. If they return the stolen goods to the police, they are like volunteer policemen. If they keep the money, then they are criminals. I would give them low moral points.
