So many facts now being presented as non-observational. Someone recently stated as fact that Black holes (Neutron stars that just plain suck!) are at the center of each galaxy. Evidence suggests it. We are working on proving it. Lets make sure it's in the textbooks so that we can throw the old ones out and charge the schools for new ones.
-- Art is the cowards way out. I know. I can create something and claim it offers the answers to the universe and hand the viewer back their ignorance if they just don't get it. Writing as religious authority is very similar in that you can claim to have golden tablets with special glasses who's message will free you from your earthly ties (money) in order to follow (serve) me.
Art is only useful when it does one of two things: Matches the drapes or causes people to think outside of the box.
Nobody in the higher echelons actually buys art, what they buy is an association with the artist. Value is based on who created it not its efficacy.
Whether created or by chance the universe is an equation. But solving for "Y" doesn't bring anything closer. Entropy is the last call for alcohol. This is no Mother in "Mother nature", it will surely wipe itself out as it has in the past.
