Subject: Mind's Eye Attributions
I'm still in doubt. I came across this quote:
"The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."
This quote is attributed to both Pablo Picasso and William Shakespeare.
Could it be coincidence; that they all said the same thing in the same words?
My doubt is what if neither of them quoted anything like that. What if this quote is from some lesser known person who has no self confidence and has a low self esteem and is hiding behind the names of these great men to mislead (in respect of the authorship) the general public through the internet?
With this kind of stuff on the net, people will loose the believe of searching for accurate information on the net with a matter of time, if they haven't already.
Has any of you come across this kind of 'double attributions' across the internet before?
