That seems logical - but it ain't. The universe might inflate and burst in a predetermined way, but still leave us with choices. The logic involved in these old chestnuts is of the being put in a barrel and told to leak in the corner. After the big crunch, some quantum fluctuation concerning our choices might have impact in the new big bang (Neil Turok). Of course, the big crunch might be the sound of Allan crossing his legs under pressure of circumstances rather than free will.
