How do we define something which is the very basis of life , it is like defining the first cause -- where it is what it is? How did it come to be , what is its purpose , etc. etc. I don't think that consciousness will ever be defined , it is the very basis of life just like the first cause and has to accepted as a fact and will never be proved. You have it and that is that.
