I've looked at a few academic papers on this, but can't link to them. Gabby strikes me as right in the sense of it being wrong to 'expect the worst of others', yet it seems many just have the wrong idea on what is right, perhaps because of a brain structure. The most shocking case I can think of was a paedophile who wasn't once his brain tumour was removed.
Greek thinking on soul/s changed a lot from Homer (some now think ''he' was not a person but rather a collective of writers) - the soul was something you could lose battle and left the body to rather grubby existence in the underworld. Not my scene as I couldn't pin one down and use my scalpel. It is possible that our function is to create some quantum fluctuation that will make the next big bang slightly different. Neil Turok did some maths to the other side of big bang some years back. Some have souls as immutable and hence immortal (Henry Moore) All gets very circular. You will be breathing some air breathed before by Shakespeare or Gabby tomorrow (UKIP intend a British barrier filter to prevent the latter here), but will probably turn into neither. Wave equations and entanglement collapse, much as stale air is refreshed.
Original thought is a tricky question. I think Gabby provokes some and we are generally scared of them. Einstein said something like it being no use applying thought that produced the problem to solving the problem. Relativity certainly wasn't his original thought, but it was an original collection of ideas and a skilfully engineered exhibition of its time.

That comes back to quantum entanglement. Ideas unknown to me earlier.. my zombie thoughts parallel the whirling dervish theology. My ¿original? thoughts involving the soul turbed out to be of common discussion among the ancient greeks. Maybe souls can be part of a quantum entanglement with the uncreated creator commonly known as God.
Is there really an original thought? Is there entanglement of genetic DNA?

It may not be much but it is a seed. The more people that put it in a sigline or add it face book (public) or your choosing. The more people scattering the seed the better chance of the seeds landing on good soil, the better chance it has to change attitudes.
The seed is not much but it is far better than just complaining. Better yet you do not become like what you are complaining of..
