Sorry about the job situation. With the lack of concern/action around
these parts I suspect our unemployment situation will be as bad as the
UK's is very soon. Our official 'unemployment' stats improved for last
month but the story the press ignores is that most of that is due to
folks just not being listed as 'looking for employment' anymore. If a
person hasn't found a job in a certain amount of time(i think maybe 6
months) then they are assumed to not be looking and are dropped from
the list. Remind's me of the mantra "but look how many Jobs were
'saved.' That's a new stat I'd never heard pre-Obama. That gives me an
idea of a great campaign platform Obama could use. "Look how efficient
I am. We are raking in more in taxes then ever before with half the
tax payers. I'm so awesome. I'm like Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln
and FDR rolled into one fantastic Dude. Give me money." Or something
like that. Sounds better when he says it.
