writer so I have no doubt you will accomplish your goal and hope you
will announce your title, as I would be interested unless it concerned
economics. You have dropped other hints about your various adventures
so I guess I will have to live in suspense for the next few months. I
have this notion that you could be a James Bond type who is chaffing
at retirement but then I tend to let my imagination run riot when I
like a writer.
You mentioned being shy once and I wonder how you will handle all the
hoopla and exposure- I hope, well. I could not cross that bridge- I
just know it- so I admire any writer's courage who hops the fence. I
did burn a carton of my writing attempts a long time ago but that
seemed an act of survival at the time plus I think I did become
intimidated by the masters I was reading and became so over-critical
or resigned- it's already been done, written, etc. I guess I fit the
profile of Tillie Olson's women in "Silences"- I think that was the
title.
Very little attention was paid to the death of Adrienne Rich last
week, in my opinion, as she was up against the death of a banjo
plucker.
