I think there is a subterranean dwelling in Mexico City- sort of a
living experiment. Anyway, we are far too dependent on electricty and
expectations of constant creature comforts. I can take a few days of
this but you may notice irritation by Friday!//Who is planning this
modern era? Just think what our ancestors coped with. One thing I
learned visiting western Kansas in the summer was to cook early in the
morning which helps a lot but if you lose the fridge/freezer you might
lose your food supply- then you sub with canned or dried foods.
Another thing is to have a gas stove rather than electric. Flashlights
and candles. The boy/girl Scout motto: Be Prepared! Also- donate to
the Salvation Army as they seem to help the most.
