I was thinking about a Chinese admiral who did some exploring around
India and Africa but the emperor of the day changed his imperial mind
and I think the fleet was burned. The ships were sea-worthy vessels,
Allan- not the junks. This was the subject of a PBS program- maybe
within the last year. Had I known, I would have written down the name
of the admiral! :-)
