......, my instincts tell me you gotta be gettin' to give. ........
You don`t always get what you want to get but you can always give what you want to give. My personal experience of getting gifts like the ties and cufflings I got every christmas was frustrating. Getting flowers or other things I found useless was and is equally frustrating. Getting books about things that I didn`t find any interest in I found just a waste. Getting handmade gifts I don`t find attractive is always an embarrassment and forces me into lying about how beautiful they are. On the other hand, giving makes me feel great. As far as unconditional love. I find that as soon as you put conditions on love, it loses its pureness. The best love is blind love that comes from the heart and not from the head. When I am loved only under certain conditions, I do not feel loved at all. When I feel love despite my short comings, then I really feel loved. When someone shows and gives me their unconditional love, then I have a hard time not to love them back in return.
