I have been trying to figure out how to explain God for years now.. you get weird words like supreme being, they are not wrong but,,,,
it separates God from his creation. for me that is a problem, well not just a problem but a major stumbling block.. My personal experience with an interaction of God is that it is not a feeling separation but one of within and without at the same moment. it is an awesome experience to say the least. Every time an interaction of this type has occurred it leaves the same feelings within me.
As for me I have no need to prove the existence of God because I know he is real not a mythological being.. and that makes a big difference. Now whether people believe me or not does not matter,, I know God is real. All I can do is share my experience how people respond is their problem, not mine.
My problem is how to you explain the being of God both simply and clearly.. This topic has shown me a way to explain part of the problem for which I am very grateful.. I like open discussions as it allows me to expand on ideas.. and groups with input allow me to explore different ideas.. Thank you everyone.

Subject: Mind's Eye Re: The whole world seen as the Blue PlanetThis is interesting, Gabby. I think our self image is integral to how we experience the world and our very being. That distortion you reference may even be "sin" as interpreted by the Christian mystics to mean separation from God, or in Alan''s terms, the essence of everything, our collectivism. How often does our self image match the image we have of our world and all that is in it?--

Experiencing the 3rd person view, whether it be singular or plural, is a tempting challenge in that respect. They say, the image of our blue planet, the photo that shows what we really look like, changed our view of ourselves. Are they sure? It has always impressed me so much more to look at the sky and to think how antish or houndish my little me must seem from there. Or how easily calculable when pondering the interregularity of the sun-moon-stars appearances staged within the grand scheme of things.
In my mind's eye the image of a round blue eye representing "Minds Eye" is a primitive visual reduction to a view deeply deformed by imperial power players.
