Re: [Mind's Eye] Re: the cloud

Well Lee this is the only forum I post to...  at this time,, most of them are boring..

Google developed the cloud,, and though   your banking data is not on your site  it is controlled by your bank,, you might consider it a cloud to you  but it probably is not..
facebook is more likely to use the cloud..  but I really do not keep information stored in it..

I quit using yahoo when they ended the personal webpage.. love writing html  it is fun  but there is no real place to use it any more  they want everyone to use a blog.. which you really have no say in,,  you have to use their format..  I am sure gmail is in the cloud.. but I have nothing to do with it.. and to me it is not the cloud..

I am not using it for storing my private I want a per-say a hard copy.. as for buying file space to store my files on line so they can be accessed from various and other computers no thank you. Not that I have anything to hide nor do I have anything,,  It just rubs me the wrong way giving organisations like the CIA: M5 , the Jewish Messuad or how ever it is spelled, the russian or chinese  or any government agency access to files where they have the time to work on them..

Sorry,, there is an old rule that you never put anything on the internet what yuo do not want others to read..
Allan

Lee does being a sysop to a BBS count as posting??  if so then 27 years..

The Cloud is not new we have all been doing it for as long as we have
been using the internet. Data stored off site and accesiable by the
internet, that is the cloud in a nutshell, client/server access via
the www.

Myself I'm a little old fashioned, I buy CD's coz I want the original
copy in case my electronic media gets wiped, stolen, corrupted.
Interesting times coming though, I mean if you look at it, ask your
self this question, where is your wealth?

When you deposit cash into your bank, and add to your total account,
is all of that figure cash money?  When you draw cash out from an ATM
are you not just cashyfiying your electronic money?  Have we all not
been using Cloud banking for for so long and we didn't realise?
