Molly, I love this quote from Campbell. And yes many have noticed that the mystical aspect of all the different religious traditions are all saying the same things with different words. I didn't actually realize that until I'd read the work of several others who had noticed it!

Found this in my mail box today.  Thought it might apply to this thread.  I don't really concern myself with the how or why or when of life any more.  I have noticed that most of the religious traditions have a mystical aspect, and, as Joseph Campbell says here, they all say the same thing with different words.
